Architecture Is…

In 2011, the Center for Architecture and Design received nearly 50 Architecture Is… entries from around the world, addressing subjects from the technical to the personal and using many cinematic styles.

1st Place in the youth category went to SoYoung Park, from Seongnam, South Korea, for the film “Architecture Is Us” (above). The jurors noted “the exploration of a very specific aspect of architectural memory, personal experience. The setting, in Seoul, makes the aspect of architectural memory even more poignant.”
